Linux Day 2021: live talk for free software day
Saturday, October 23, 2021 is the Italian day dedicated to Linux, which has always been a manifestation of a free thought that, like its iconic mascot, wants to embrace anyone who is moved by an open and curious spirit. Among the many squares promoting events along the entire boot is Benevento, with a whole afternoon of debates hosted by the University of Sannio, at the headquarters of the Sant'Agostino Complex.
The theme of this 2021 edition, organized locally by the L.I.Li.S association, in collaboration with the University of Sannio, is Data, data, data ... But data to whom? to emphasize the infinite sources, representations, transformations and uses of information in the era of big data.
The Samnite program is particularly rich and divided into informative and technical talks ranging from a reinterpretation of the visionary ideas of those who have marked the future past, to an analysis of how they work and how to evade "artificial intelligence" algorithms. The speakers, all with roots in our territory, have, in fact, developed differentiated interventions, for an open discussion with the more and less experienced.
Participation is free but limited in number, due to the appropriate containment measures imposed by the ongoing health emergency, but the event will also be streamed online.
