From 16 January 2019 he is Full Professor of Transport (S.S.D. ICAR/05) at the University of Sannio, at the Department of Engineering.
From 1 November 2002 (confirmed as of 1 November 2005) to 15 January 2019 he was Associate Professor of Transport (S.S.D. ICAR/05) at the University of Sannio.
From 2 May 2001 to 30 October 2002 he was Assistant Professor of the ICAR 05 – Transport sector at the University of Naples "Federico II", at the Department of Transport Engineering "Luigi Tocchetti".

He carried out research during the three years of the PhD in "Transport Engineering", relating to the Design of private transport networks in urban areas. The main results, in addition to being reported in the final thesis, have been presented at various international conferences and published in the relative proceedings.
He has also dealt with issues related to the design of local public transport networks, producing several works published in journals and presented at conferences.
In 1995 he collaborated with the Department of Transport Engineering of the University of Naples "Federico II" for the research commissioned by TELECOM - ITALY "Analysis of TLC applications and telematics associated with intermodal freight transport systems in the medium term".
